The Prodigal Son Remembers

Buy my book   " Joy in the Journey " on Amazon now 20% goes to missions  The story of the prodigal son is the story of a sweet home where two sons and a father lived. Thre is no mention of a mother or sister. It was a wealthy houselhold where there was plenty to share. The younger son rejected the home and and left for a far away place and ruined his inheritance and became so poor that he didnt have a place to live or food to eat. Then he remembered about the father's home and ultimately returns. There are people who are upset that the father did not do anything to search the son. There is no reference to say that the father did not. Knowing how kind this father turned out to be, I believe this father must have done everything possible to contact him. The prodigal son and choices

Buy my book   " Joy in the Journey " on Amazon now 20% goes to missions  Today's world is filled with choices. We can choose our own lifestyle, living style, purchasing, social media and and so on. They reveal just enough truth to raise intense curiosity, promising more for interested listeners and seekers. The uninterested will leave uninspired while the truth seekers will leave inspired. They are not to be taken as doctrines or prophecies, rather they must be studied in context. The parable of the 'prodigal son' is one of the most well known stories of the world. George Murray said that this parable is "the most divinely tender and most humanly touching story ever told on earth." Charles Dickens described it as "the finest short story ever written." Many theologians have described it as "the Gospel within the Gospel." Jesus spoke the parable of the lost son after he told the parable of  a lost sheep that was part of a group of one hundred
